What is NORDIN
NORDIN is a highly operational market access program for Danish SMEs looking to India. The program provides a long term, closely supervised engagement with the Indian market and is designed to help Danish SMEs clear the very hurdles that make India a tough market to crack.
Of the 54 companies that completed the NORDIN program, 47 are now actively engaged in market activities in India
How is that possible?
1
We select our companies carefully, making sure there is a potential product fit – and the capacity to carry through – from the very beginning
2
We have deep market knowledge and seek to understand your company in detail – knowing your product and business model helps us fine tune your value proposition for the Indian market
3
4
We work closely with select Indian industry experts ensuring the optimal match between your company and the Indian partners and clients
We focus on B2B-companies that provide sustainable solutions with tangible impact.
This is where Danish companies carry the strongest brand and have the strongest value proposition in India. And this is where your product can make a real impact. More than ever, there is an urgent need and huge potential for sustainable solutions in India.
After completing the program, the NORDIN team will still be at your disposal to solve any issues that may arise, and you will have the opportunity to spar with the many other SMEs who have participated in our program. We seek to establish a genuine ecosystem for Danish SMEs looking to India.
NORDIN is a partnership between Asia House, Green Innovation Group and DI India, with Innovation Centre Denmark as collaborative partner. NORDIN is supported by The Danish Industry Foundation.
NORDIN addresses the fundamental issues facing SMEs in emerging markets: lack of resources, lack of connections and lack of local insights and knowhow.

THE NORDIN COHORT 2020 IS CLOSED FOR APPLICATIONS
If you are a small or medium sized company looking to access the Indian market, NORDIN is probably your best bet. We offer a highly operational and extremely efficient market access program - the success rate for our cohorts was 87%.
NORDIN is funded by the Danish Industry Foundation, and therefore has the luxury – for now – to offer the program free of charge. If selected, all you need to do is cover your travel costs and a DKK 5,000 commitment fee, which will be reimbursed following the completion of the program.
The project team spend a substantial amount of time on each company, deep-diving into your product and business model, providing a tailored marketplan, and engaging with Indian sector experts specifically selected for your purpose.
It is therefore important, we select companies with real potential. This entails that:

You have market-ready solutions relevant for the Indian market

You are ready to adapt your product or business model to the Indian market

You have some export experience, preferably from emerging markets

Your senior management is committed

You are willing and able to participate actively throughout the 11-month program period
We are sector agnostic, but have a penchant for B2B-companies that address the UN SDGs.
This is where we believe Danish companies have the greatest chances of success in India right now and can create the biggest positive impact.
